LOL! Was playing facebook the whole day in class. Restaurant City is so fun! Tell you why, because all my employees in my restaurant is my supervisors! Maybe I'm crazy already, in real life have to work under them, at least in facebook they work for me! LALALA!!!
Today's topic was on SOP. Not SOP at work. Is SOP of a laboratory management. Why was SOP important? Why do we need SOP? What are the consequences if we do not follow SOP? And blah blah blah... So, thats why my supervisor at work sent me to SOP last week. No longer angry and mind anymore. I'm educated people. I understand. I'm understanding! LOL!!
Yesterday is my off day, but sort of don't felt like having any off days at all. I still have to attend school in the morning. Suppossedly to meet up with Yvonne for dinner but was rather lazy to go down Ang Mo Kio to find her. Hello, 6 days a week have to be in AMK, not during my off days please! >.<
So, I spent the whole day at home and pack up my super TMD messy room. And I watched the movie Titanic for the maybe 10th times this week. Repeatedly watching disc 2 out of the 3 disc again and again as I was packing up my room, lazy to change the disc and need something playing on my lappy as sort of multi tasking. Haha.. Never grow bored of watching it.
Before packing up.. All in a mess!!!
My nail stickers~~ And I rarely put fake nails as the nail glue will damage my nails :(
Mirrors!
With only one mouth on me, I think I need years to use these up. I still have some in my cabinet in work place!
Mascaras, Eyeliners, eye glitters~~ My favourite mascara is the quite latest product of Maybelline and the Dramatic. And the favourite of the favourites is the mascara given by Eileen as a birthday present. Majolica majorca. I'm using it everyday now! >.<>

I rarely put fake lashes now because quite troublesome and is quite irritating to my eyes. And I look very slutty or like a prostitute with fake lashes. This is what my friends told me.

My masks is collecting dust. I didn't have the long sweet time to do something now seems so extravagant to me.

My hobby! Painting my nails~~ >.<

Tadah! A huge difference ya? I don't need any Maria or Minah to help me in cleaning and tidying up my own room. So satisfied with my hard work. >.<

Today's biosenseor technology and biomedical devises module is about breast cancer. My family of my mother's side had histories of breast cancer. So, I must take note of it. >.<>
Anyway, keeps on playing of the games in facebook in class. Damn fun! >.<
I'm not good and not skilled at consoling people or saying something nice to people when they are in extreme grief of is heart broken. 倘若我们是好友, 我顶多能陪着你一起哭. If not, I think the best is to remain quiet and at least express some concern from the look in your eyes is enough.
不去管, 并不代表不在乎. 觉得有时不要去挖探别人的痛处. 有些事, 宁愿要自己告诉别人, 也好过让人家当做八挂来散播闲谈, 这对我来说并不是关心..

Today is the second time in my life I have dialed for the police. I was inside of the bar area cooking maggie mee as a supper and began eating while I heard the announment made through the PA system that a fight is going on. I went to the location even though I know that I am of no help while I know that I should actually return to my reception counter and resume my duty.
But hey, I'm in the middle of having my important meal ok? So, I try to warn YuMing not to stand so close as I am afraid that he might get beaten up. Louis saw me and wants me to return to my reception counter. I thought I should too, in case if he needs me to call for the police. So, I brought my maggie mee along with me. >.<
I went back and continue eating while one of the regular customer came out and have a chat with me and was suprised that I still have the mood to eat. I told her that the fight is non of my business and don't want to kpo it plus I am hungry. Hungry SiLing = Angry SiLing.
So, from a corridor inside, the person who starts the fight came out and didn't want to stop his nonsense. He even intend to hit a women of the same room as him! And Louis drag him away with extreme force into the lift. Wow! He is really so man. Completely idolising him like some freak.
I think supervisor really needs some talent and skills and ability to handle such situation. Luckily Louis dosen't have the look like you know some "kiam pa" people and knows how to handle situation like this, if not he will sure kena.
So, they were still like continuing with some commotions downstair. I was explaining charges to some customers and they seem curious of what is going on and asked me does this happened often. I tell them that I have been working here for two years and nothing this sort happened before.
In my heart, I was being racists. I thought, yeah. Indians is like that.
Then the phone rang. I pick it up and say the extremely long sentence: K Box Broadway SiLing speaking how may I assist you?
Louis: SiLing argh? (He still wait for me to complete the long long sentence)
Me: Call the police huh?
Louis: Ya.. Ok, after considering why he still waits for me to complete the very long sentence and the pauses he made, I think he is thinking and considering what will happen next. He is someone who thinks of many consequences and what will be happening next and what shall he do when he makes a decision. Or he dosen't want to speak incase the Indian guy knows he wants to call "matah" come down.
So I called the friendly neighbourhood police branch and their kind and patient service operator on the line speak so monotonely and boringly like the previous time. I'm dissappointed that my call dosen't seem to excite him by a little.
Me: I'm calling from KBox, broadway plaza, AMK avenue 6, there is a fight going on. Please send some officers down. Thankyou.
Tadah~~~ I am so proud of myself. Short, sweet and straight to the point. Within minutes, the super efficient officers arrived.
Skip on the details. When customers left. ZhiAn told me about the whole story which I dosen't seem to bother at first. The Indian guy (A) want to bash up the other person (also Indian, his relative) as the person speak ill of (A)'s mother. Wow. A good reason to bash up other people. Who will speak ill of my mother also deserve me bashing him/her up. A's mother tell others not to hurt A as he is her son. Wow. Like a TV drama. ZhiAn tell me not to cry. I was like really damn touch and close to tears already.
I think I should give everyone respect, no matter who they are. So what if he is a Indian? He still have people loving him and those people out there he loves. He respect and loves his mother. For this, he deserves my respect... He deserves respect...
And from this I want to thank him for getting me a moral of the lesson: Not to judge people...

Watched Taken yesterday with Rebecca and Joy. A really very nice show! It shows the fatherly love a father have for his daughter. That he will go by all means for his daughter. Bravo! So what that the stepfather have money and gives her a horse for a birthday present? Money isn't everything. But this show is rather disgusting at some parts. It shows that this world is not like Cinderella and Aladdin. It shows the cruelty of men. How some men goes on betraying their friends for their own family and money. How ugly and disgusting men can be when it comes to earning money from prostitution and kidnapping and drugs. I believe in all men, there is such ugliness inside them, just a matter whether they are letting the devil out to control them. What do they treat women as? As a sex tool? As a mockery?I tell Joy that if I go overseas nobody would want to kidnap me for prostitution. She says maybe we are beauties in the eyes of the Bangalah. LOL! Anyway, suddenly I felt very fortunate after watching this movie. How I am not involved in life so horrible like how women live their lifes in the movie. We must be grateful. When we learn to be grateful, we knows what happiness is.Ok, I MUST NOT buy any more cosmetics and beauty products next month. I can't go on like this. No men is willing to take me as their wife if they knew that how scary I am when it comes to spending money. So, I have to control myself! Learn to save and be a wise consumer! Scenario: In a vegatable stall in a wet market 10 years later...Lingderella: Uncle, I want some chilli padi. Huh? $40cents? Free me lah, see? I am you loyal customer leh... After reading this book which tells about the relationship between men and women, times have change. In the past, not so in the past maybe just back to those days of my father,

In the laboratory just now. Was doing this final year project (FYP) of Biofuel waterless washing system. So, I must do research on it. But it seems rather interesting and fun with my fyp team mates. So, what we do is we went to the canteen and asked for used cooking oil. And tell you lor, the used cooking oil is very disgusting! The smell and the dark brown colour machiam black and the particles that is floating around in the oil. Just imagine it! OMG! So we are going to titrate it then do transesterification using NaOH and come up with clean cooking oil. Anyway, every third day of the week should be fyp day, but as I failed many modules and have to take up the day for a module, I have to rush two side. Class and FYP. Today's class is laboratory management and our task today is to come up with better design of a laboratory and what are the considerations. Why is laboratory designing important? For safety, sustainability and etc..So, was speaking about donating organs and tissues yesterday, I wouldn't want to donate my corneas. It is the most important part of myself to me. :)Ok, was at this SOP course again yesterday. Sometimes people treat others like kids machiam with low mentality or thought they have brain born like a size of a pea. If you just bark around like a mad dog, people will just be scared of you. And what did you gain? Poor impression. People cursing you behind your back. And you have become the spoiler of the staff day = poor service attitude = less customer = company less profit. We are adults living in a civilised environment! I think people should treat one another with respect, use better tone and not raise their voice and start roaring around. Plus we are not in primary school when the teacher need to get 100% response from every child. Yes, people may try to act funny at times at the wrong timing when seriousness is needed but hello? People goes through a period of growing up. Be patient, calm and helpful. Gives explaination to your staff, if staff does not agree maybe you can even continue a debate with them. By the way, if staff start arguing with you then you must start considering and reflecting what is wrong with you. Why your staff doesen't want to listen to you? Why didn't your staff agree with you and respect your decision? What is wrong with you and your management? Maybe it might not all be you. Must look at what type of attitude does the staff have for work. Show some sympathy and express your emotions as though you really want to help your staff. This is how people should learn and would rather choose to learn in this way. And this is the way I think a good superior should do when they want to teach, correct and pass down their knowledge to their subordinates. And what else have you gain? Respect and a staff who is willing to fight alongside with you and not against you. P.S These are my point of views, you do not need to agree with me. :)1.15pm Wednesday Republic polytechnic E66B 22April2009

RespectI came pass this topic many times these few days. Today in class 10 minutes ago and yesterday's SOP course. By the way, for those who don't know, SOP = Standard Operation ProcedureShall not blog much on yesterday's SOP course as he says 这边说了就算了.. Or something similar to this. Well, Joy and I both would want to raise our hands and legs to agree that we really do not need to attend this course. Today's class is Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering. Today's topic is on organ donations. I am already 21 for erm.. 17 days? Ok, A few months ago I recieve this letter from don't know is it gahmen or MOH or whatever telling me that if I didn't reply to them, I am automatically in this organ donation thingy if I die in an accident or what. Clever idea, people like me would find it troublesome and is lazy to reply to such things. If so, will I get slaughtered and cut up like a pig if I die? Every part of me can be given away. My skin and anything. I would rather give them up for transplants to help people rather than to put up in museums or for some research and practice and studying for medical students. But I want to keep my eyes with me. Maybe if I really want to help, I can start by doing blood donations first. I didn't even know my blood type. So I shall do some research on blood donation in Singapore later on. >.<It is very weird how people can be. If I really want to be someone nice, where can I start from? Does it mean I have to give up all my indulgence? How can I help saving and helping people on Earth or make this planet a better place? Wars is going on, people is starving out there. Where can I start from? Adopting an African kid? Give up my shoppings and beauty products, pretty clothings and donate all source of income away? Where can I start from? How can someone be NICE? What isNice? Is there any type of classification under Nice? What is the correct definition of Nice?People can be nice like donating money and help by volunteering in disasters like tsunami or earthquake and etc, yet are they really nice? I think the most basic thing of being nice starts from morally in within a person. They can be nice by giving respect and considerations to people. Maybe giving respects and considerations to others already is too demanding. Well, I think people is good enough if they can just stop doing ugly stuffs like back stabbing, throwing their weight around, giving poor attitude and gossiping. Agreeable?12.20pm Tuesday 21April2009

So, like what he says, unhappy also must go the SOP thingy, happy also must go the SOP thingy. So why not be happy? I can be happy. I want to be happy. I will choose to be happy. Sometimes I just need to learn to be considerate. Just by placing myself in the position of a 28 year old who is out in the workforce for many years and does not get related to the word SCHOOL and is a supervisor of a big and reputable company with many outlets located dispersely in Singapore. So, I am now a 28 year old and a supervisor. What big fuck even so you are schooling? You choose your own life! So, you must both cope in your school and work! Not happy? Throw your resignation letter lor! Good luck to your school then!Erm.. From this, you can know that I am angry until gonna die and mind a great deal lot that I have to attend the SOP thingy. Actually, I don't mind attending the SOP thingy. It is that I mind what he thinks and said that day. And his attutude and tone of speaking really sucks!Ok, why can't I let go and learn to forgive and forget. Well, perhaps he really gets irritated with many of the staffs because there is many students under him in his outlet. For night shift there is three full timer worker studying full time studying in polytechnic, morning shift also got people studying after work. He is irritated in arranging the schedules with us requesting off days for schools or taking leaves for examinations etc. Plus the part timers also, schedule arrange already say this day cannot, that day cannot want to change. Tell you, if you are under other supervisor, they are surely not nice enough to change for you and will say: "You either come if not wait for next week's schedule then".He is stressed up with us saying this cannot go, that cannot attend because of school or whatever shit. This don't want to do, that you do yourself. But putting myself in his position, if a staff didn't attend all the important thingy like this time wasting SOP course (which rob me of my time for beauty sleep and I have to use my annual leave for work on this), it shows that staff did not respect him or the 大粒的 will see that how come the staff under his care have many problems and was there any problems with his staff management? Or like we staff never put the company in the eyes 没放在眼里. So, he is really a good supervisor but perhaps not the best yet so far. So, I must not let him down. So, I was reading this book which wrote on how women can be better women as in women in the eyes of the men. I was only on the first few pages and agree with it to a certain extent. I need to think and process the words in my brain before speaking. Sometimes what I says is really a spoiler to my image. But erm... This is me! It is the first day of a new school term. Now in class and was glad that some of the people I have already knew and met before from the previous semester or the semesters before that. The module I'm taking today is Biosensor technology and biomedical devices. Quite interesting as in today. Lucky I'm not tired for school as now, school is 10am not the 830am last time. I only get like 3.5 hours of sleep last time unlike the 5 hours now after work. Muahaha~~ Must be grateful!12.05pm Monday 20April2009 Republic Polytechnic E65P

I am very aware of what type of person I am. In terms of personality and ability. I can be better. :) Sometimes things is really on the surface and people might not really understand you and get the wrong idea. I am not upset because I have to attend the don't know whatever SOP course or whatever. And I don't really give a damn to that SOP thingy. I mean if you are a superior/men, please consider what you speak might affect a staff/women emotionally. At that moment, I really need an apology and felt that I am not even worth a single cent in his eyes. How dare he! Maybe like what people says, he is just very stressed up as he was very much overloaded with work and problems of staffs so he didn't keep his usual cool. But he isn't right to vent his frustrations on me. Or I am the unlucky to be there when volcano erupt? So, I am a problem to him too. What can I do to be a better staff? A good ssubordinate is not just someone who dosen't get MC, don't get late and just avoids giving probelms like this..Yes. I believe he deserves much more than be treated by us this way. He deserves must more respect. He deserves a lot more than this. He is a good leader, he is a good superior. It is just a matter whether the staff will take the initiative themselves. 自觉.. Being under a good leader, I want to learn from him. I have learnt a lot from him. I know a lot from him. But I didn't practise what I have gotten from him. Yes, why didn't I make good use of what I've learned and practise it?And she goes reflecting again...1.25pm Saturday 18January2009Crying does not mean that I am weak. I was wondering at first whether should I stay back after work to drink with my friends and colleagues. And make the final decision by staying when I think of school holiday is over by end of the week. And I came up with an observation.I mean this men is really so weird! Why does this men have so many admirers? Like a magnet, wherever he goes, metals will stick to it. What charisma does he gives? Like super glue, you will get stuck to it. It was his fault. If he wasn't a nice guy. Like a bee hive being disturb, the bees keep on following him wherever he goes. LOL! I was blaming him for being nice. Maybe I should learn to be like him. Be nice. Just so nice until undescribable. Then maybe I can be like him, it isn't one or two flies fluttering above his head. It is plenty! Was it 10? Or even 20? Please, I'm serious! But I can't be so calm like him, I can't be so wise like him, I can't be so nice like him. How come he is so nice almost to being someone so great? 12.00noon 16April2009 ThursdayFour more days left to a new school term...

M S N and E T C..I was thinking of this 6 alphabets the whole day. I was telling my colleague today how weird I can be. I can love this men now, and then if another men were out there for me, I am willing to be with him and will love him. But I still love the first men. But if I were to be together with the second men, I will learn to love the second men. I swear I will and I will get the first men out of my mind and heart. So, after reflecting on how come I think this way, conclusion is I am still naive. I was still hoping that a miracle can happen. I was still hoping for a fairy tale.Sometimes, things can just be printed so deep into your heart and can not be put in as the past so easily. Sometimes, things can not just be forgotten and treat it as nothing ever happens. That is maybe why people says that it only take a minute to remember someone or to fall in love and takes a life time to forget. A life time maybe isn't really long. I need time. Perhaps I don't even need a life time. I need time. Decades, years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes or seconds.... Give me time.4.35am Wednesday 15April2009

Why is money not enough? How come when back then I'm still a student with no income yet I seem far more satisfied and richer?I've went shoppingssssssssss this few days. (How many s-es do I need to put behind the word shopping?) I've bought many items which I choose not to reflect and look back on what I have bought. I don't dare to check how much balance I've left in my bank account. It is like a horror and my heart went racing, beating faster and makes me very nauseous everytime when I need to withdraw money or check my balance. I will rather choose not to look at how much I've left. So, I went hair dyeing yesterday. Black. Yvonne says I look younger. I think I look more sweet and gentle too. >.<
I think he likes women with black hair thats why I dyed black. It is impression of women dyeing hair would gives others. Perhaps materialistic? But I am materialistic. But I hope that in his eyes, I am not. But it is obviously and too obviously that I am materialistic.
I have 7 piercings currently on my ears and my highest record was 14 when I was still in secondary school. Maybe I should leave it with just nice one pair? I think the type of women he likes does not have tattoos and does not have many pierings, have black hair is innocent and gentle.
Yvonne brings me to this hair salon in Bedok as it is damn cheap. But we have to wait quite a while as there is many aunties waiting for their hair to get perm and get their hair cut and get their hair dyed. We wondered when we get old, would we wear flowery clothings and get our hair permed like maggie mee! LOL!!!
We quite enjoyed ourselves as interesting things and conversations happen. Like this aunty, with her hair cut which only cost $5, how much does she expect? Keeps on grumbling in an annoying way like her hair cut is unbalance behind the ear and the shave behind is not very clean etc. Then we were like who cares about it in so detailed behind? But I was amazed that she is nice when she was leaving, she thank the hair dresser aunty and is smiling nicely.
So, another aunty came and play some old chinese music from her handphone. Another aunty obviously hates her rudeness and turn on the TV news louder. But the aunty still continues playing her music. And the hair dresser aunty tells her: Wah, your handphone is very loud hor?
Then that aunty still says proudly showing off, saying: Oh, this is a present from my hubby.
I was like erm..... people obviously thinks that you are rude and wants you to switch off your music! But still, Yvonne and I just keep on whispering amoung ourselves on our view.
But then a while later, the aunty's husband came and brought coffee for the other aunties and the aunty say is her husband's treat. I was like ok, this aunty is nice in some ways.
Then there was this third aunty who was like niaming and complaining that she waited very long and blah blah blah. But when the hair dresser aunty needs her help at removing the clips from the other aunty who is perming the hair, she helps and even washes the clips for her!
I was like WOW! I'm just so amazed of how aunties can be. They just keeps of grumbling and complaining and yet, somehow they are still nice in some ways.
I just hope that when I'm older, I'm a happy, nice, quiet, wise, gentle and sweet aunty to others.
Anyway, after going to school and shopping at causeway point, I went home and I saw Super Andy! I was like so shock when I bought my nasi lemak and when I turned back he was just standing behind me! I was like so stunned lor!
I felt so sad that he left KBox when I knew the news. But felt happy that he seems happier now. >.<

So, let me start from the 3rd April. I didn't take any off day or whatever to celebrate my 21st birthday. I didn't have planning or whatever as I am rather lazy to organise anything and find them troublesome. I am really not in the mood. At night Xavier and Alan our regular customers came. I went in and join them abondoning all my duties. Telling myself to pamper myself a little bit. I joined them for some singing and drank quite some Martell with them. Little did I expect that there will be a celebration awaiting me. They brought in cakes and a few jugs of beer. So, I will skip on the details and I was drunk.Must really thank YiMeng and Eileen. They brought me home safely. And now I really have to admit I am a lousy drinker. I get drunk easily. -.-" And they say that I am really talkative and cause a hell lot of noise pollution to them. LOL! So, I will skip on the details again. Is too embarrassing~~ >.<To be continued...4.04am Wednesday8th April 2009

I'm lazy to blog about me being 21 and about Shira's is married! 1.30pm Tuesday 7th April 2009Btw, I told Louis I have personality problem and he said that it is good that I know...Wherever he is around, there will be lessons that will teach me moral of a story...And she continues reflecting..So, after getting many "moral of the story" from Louis, I have to comfort myself that I am actually really not to that bad. It is just that he is too good. And the master of wisdom might be leaving soon. Who would bear to let him go?I am not wise and I am not somebody great. But I am learning to be wiser and better in person after failing myself. But I really thank God, thank Jesus, thank Buddha, thank Guanyin that I have met someone so nice before that makes the Earth, this planet and somewhere in my heart a little more beautiful.

Anyway was back from Penang, Bukit Metajam after tomb sweeping. I really misses home. Especially my bed, the bath room, the clean toilet bowl and the water heater.I have already not been back for tomb sweeping at least more than 2 or 3 years. And I will be back yearly if I could from now on as this is the least I could do, to show some respect to our ancestors.Afterwork on Thursday, my parents fetch me and we went to out house in Kulai first to take all the fruits and incense paper then we head for the highway and drive straight to Butterworth/ Bukit Mertajam.I am tired after work and I slept all the way through the car journey which I am quite amazed that I didn't even wake up for toilet breaks which for the past few years I usually do and I couldn't sleep in car because I always feels very bumpy and couldn't get to sleep easily. My father drove fast, the last time I saw his speedmeter is 140km/hr. When we reached somewhere near Jawi for breakfast at around 11am I woke up for food. It is some sort of famous food among the locals there, the gu cai kuey >.<>
We went to a hotel, which is actually like some sort of bungalow and have many rooms own by my father's friend's friend. It charges only RM$20 per head per night. And I slept while my parents went to buy more incense paper and etc needed for tomb sweeping. I woke up only at dinner time when my papa fetch me to eat Jawa Mee at a hawker. It is like Mee Rebus, except far more tasty than Mee Rebus. Then we went to eat at a restaurant where we meet up with my papa's brothers and sister families. When we went back hotel, I was armed with 4 magazines, my mp3 and sudoku to help me pass time. And I uses the time to think and reflect of my life too. : )
The next day, reach the 1st tomb before the sunrises after eating kway teow teng and we uses torch light in the graveyard to look out for the tomb. I didn't know how should I address the ancestors, but I know how to relate them.
1st Place
1st tomb - My father's grandpa's mother (But we didn't sweep her husband's tomb because his tomb is located elsewhere)
2nd tomb - My father's grandpa (On his grave, his wives names is carved beside his. He have two wives. So, my father's grandma is one of them.)
3rd tomb - My father's grandpa's wife / My father's grandma (I believe that this tomb is the tomb of the 1st wife, the bigger rank wife. So, I pray for her forgiveness and to protect me from not ever let me have the chance of being the second women for the third time)
4th tomb - My father's grandma's parents (They are buried together, and next to their daughter)
5th tomb - My father's father/ My grandpa
6th tomb - My father's mother / My grandma
I have never met my grandma and grandpa before. They died many years before I was even born. Among all this tomb stones, my grandma's and grandpa's tomb is newer and prettier as they re-buried them because of feng-shui. My name is carved under 内孙女. There is mostly two colours on the tomb stone. Green represents that the person have already passed away and red/gold repesents that the person is still alive.
The year that the person passed away is also stated in those 甲乙丙丁亥 and etc which I don't really recognise and didn't bother to ask. Maybe when I have my own children, I will find out about it if not when they asked me, I didn't know how to explain to them. Then it will be quite ashame.
I was equipped with sunglass, a cap and an umbrella. Maybe I should even apply sunscreen lotion. And bring along a mini fan. The sun is so bright, the air is so hot.
We visit two other places for tomb sweeping too and then I have wanton mee for lunch and the super ultra delicious penang laksa for my hi-tea. For dinner we went to the hawker for satay, popiah, rojak, fried oyster, and char kway teow. Why dosen't Singapore have stores with food as delicious as these?
The next day, we have dim sum for breakfast. Yummy. I just love those chee cheong fun, the fresh prawn in it, the chilli (like those chilli in nasi lemak), the gravy and the fried onion. Superb!! Unlike those in Singapore. I start complaining to mama that I don't dare to stand on weighing scale when I return home. And mama just tell me to eat all I can, come back just go on diet. -.-" Hello? Easy to gain weight, lose weight is difficult ya?!
Was supposed to go Thailand because it is near, only about 2 hours car jorney but they decided to visit relatives instead. -.-" Papa promised me to bring me to LaiFa garden, a rich men's garden when he keep all his collections and hobbies. So, after breakfast, we went to visit my 大姨, my mother's eldest sister and then my small ah gu who took bus from Singapore with his wife and 5 year old son just reached just in time and so coincidently. 大姨 wasn't at home and was at his eldest son's, Ah guang kor kor's home. My big ah gu was already there. It was like some sort of gathering. So, we head there. The moment I reached there, relatives start saying all those usual stuff. Grown prettier, grown slimmer and blah blah blah. And they just like my mascara and my eye shawdow and my eye liner. Overall, they mean that they like my eyes. Muahaha!!
My papa went to out with eng beng kor kor while my mama and her siblings all sit outside and chit chat. I went in the living room and sit on the sofa and decided not to move around because the house is full of kids, and the kids were either playing with toys if not watching Tom & Jerry. So, there were like maybe 10 kids below 12 years old in the house? The youngest is only 4 months old, Eng beng's kor kor's (大姨's second son) youngest son. Eng beng's kor kor's wife is a Thai. I remembers when she just marry over, she can't speak hokkien, can't speak chinese. Now, her eldest daughter is already 11 years old, she is fluent in hokkien and chinese. And she is not even 30 years old already with 4 children. Still pretty and have good figure. Although she dosen't lives life richly, but she is fortunate to have a handsome husband and is still lovingly together and have 4 lovely sons and daughers. Maybe women is just supposed to have simple lives, give birth to children and be happy. Maybe this is 女人的使命..
Nightmare came. The Eldest daughter of eng beng kor kor carried the 4 month old baby for me to carry. I panic! I didn't know how to carry or handle a baby correctly. Is there a manual that teaches the correct way to hold a baby? What if I hurt the baby? What if I drop the baby? I think I exaggerated. Maybe this shows that I am not great with kids. If I love kids, I should know how to carry a baby. How can I be a mom like this? Will I breast feed my baby?
I fall asleep on the sofa watching Tom & Jerry. I remember watching Tom & Jerry when I was still a kid. I love it! Then I wake up hungry again. I went to join my mama's and her siblings chit chat and then my 表嫂们 all came out with nice food for us. This is a job scope of 媳妇. I realised in this trip, I was always analyzing a lot of the duty of being a daughter-in-law, a wife, a mother a women. I wonder why do I think about it so often in this trip? I figure out is because of the tomb stone. A wife, a daughter-in-law needs to 传宗接代, so that the family name of her husband can be passed down. Giving birth to son will be better because of the family name, and the 内孙 names will be carved to the tomb stone. Maybe it is still too early for me to think about stuff like this.
My papa came back at 3 plus and I asked him are we leaving now for LaiFa garden as it might be closing soon. My papa asked me that so late still want to go? It means that my papa actually have planned on not going! I actually really look forward to going! I give him the angry look and then he say that if want to go, go loh. I know papa isn't really happy that I give him the angry look.
So, it rain. But we still carry on the journey driving there. We took umbrellas and went into the garden in the heavy and pouring rain. I have been to this place maybe 3 or 4 years ago. The first station is 兵马俑 of 秦史皇, but my mama says those are fakes. Then we went into his aquarium where he breeds many different species of fishes such as sting rays, the expensive 金龙鱼, the big 巨龙鱼 and etc. Into his 玉花圆, he kept a collection of beautiful rocks, plants, flowers and tress. His rock collection is quite extraordinary as some of the rocks gives out oil. And he owns a mini zoo. Deers, leopard, tiger bears and etc. Different species of birds, parrots and dogs. All I could say that this man is damn rich. Mama says this LaiFa guy do containerize business.
On the way back, my mum told me to look at rainbow. I was like WOW! I have never seen such beautiful rainbow. Because there isn't any high rise building around, I can see the whole rainbow in semi circle. The colour is so bright and beautiful. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH BEAUTIFUL RAINBOW!
I tell myself maybe this is a sign telling me that no matter how tough times may be, no matter how sad I have been, after the rain, there is rainbow. It is time I should move on, be happy and look at the brighter side of everything.
And guess what the most amazing part is? It is a double rainbow! There is actually two rainbows! One bigger rainbow outside circling the other rainbow! Awesome! Mama says if Singapore have such beautiful scene, it will surely be on newspaper the next day.
The next day, we went to tomb sweeping again. My mother's parents tomb. Thet were buried together. My jobscobe throughout the whole tomb sweeping is to paint the colours on the tomb stone. The faded green, gold and red. And I was burnt many times by the joss stick ashes.
This time, eng beng kor kor put 红炮. As they say that this period is some sort of a festive period/holiday for the dead. I was like maybe just 10 foot away from the 红炮, the noise is so loud and and the impact is quite big until the 红炮 even hit me on my face.
We head back to 大姨's house. To chit chat again. This time, I play with the 4 months old baby. I carried him. He is like so small and cute. Didn't cry and not afraid of anyone. His hands and feets is just so tiny. Then his 5 year old elder brother asked me: "你的孩子嘞?" I was like erm, what should I say? I just said I didn't have kids. And he asked me why. I was like erm.... Next topic please..
Maybe 21 years old sounds old, maybe 21 years old should already be married and have a couple of children running around your knees.
Turning 21 soon. 21 is not old, 21 is not everything. I am still my mother's baby. Can I? Hmm, I really don't want to be 高龄产妇!

To add on to my blog entry in 2005, 16th June:
The toilet is still the same after almost 4 years.
My cousin's wife is a Thai, not Indonesian.
Maybe my father always drives at 140km/hr.
Like what they say, "肮脏吃, 肮脏大."
