RespectI came pass this topic many times these few days. Today in class 10 minutes ago and yesterday's SOP course. By the way, for those who don't know, SOP = Standard Operation ProcedureShall not blog much on yesterday's SOP course as he says 这边说了就算了.. Or something similar to this. Well, Joy and I both would want to raise our hands and legs to agree that we really do not need to attend this course. Today's class is Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering. Today's topic is on organ donations. I am already 21 for erm.. 17 days? Ok, A few months ago I recieve this letter from don't know is it gahmen or MOH or whatever telling me that if I didn't reply to them, I am automatically in this organ donation thingy if I die in an accident or what. Clever idea, people like me would find it troublesome and is lazy to reply to such things. If so, will I get slaughtered and cut up like a pig if I die? Every part of me can be given away. My skin and anything. I would rather give them up for transplants to help people rather than to put up in museums or for some research and practice and studying for medical students. But I want to keep my eyes with me. Maybe if I really want to help, I can start by doing blood donations first. I didn't even know my blood type. So I shall do some research on blood donation in Singapore later on. >.<It is very weird how people can be. If I really want to be someone nice, where can I start from? Does it mean I have to give up all my indulgence? How can I help saving and helping people on Earth or make this planet a better place? Wars is going on, people is starving out there. Where can I start from? Adopting an African kid? Give up my shoppings and beauty products, pretty clothings and donate all source of income away? Where can I start from? How can someone be NICE? What isNice? Is there any type of classification under Nice? What is the correct definition of Nice?People can be nice like donating money and help by volunteering in disasters like tsunami or earthquake and etc, yet are they really nice? I think the most basic thing of being nice starts from morally in within a person. They can be nice by giving respect and considerations to people. Maybe giving respects and considerations to others already is too demanding. Well, I think people is good enough if they can just stop doing ugly stuffs like back stabbing, throwing their weight around, giving poor attitude and gossiping. Agreeable?12.20pm Tuesday 21April2009
