Today is the second time in my life I have dialed for the police. I was inside of the bar area cooking maggie mee as a supper and began eating while I heard the announment made through the PA system that a fight is going on. I went to the location even though I know that I am of no help while I know that I should actually return to my reception counter and resume my duty.
But hey, I'm in the middle of having my important meal ok? So, I try to warn YuMing not to stand so close as I am afraid that he might get beaten up. Louis saw me and wants me to return to my reception counter. I thought I should too, in case if he needs me to call for the police. So, I brought my maggie mee along with me. >.<
I went back and continue eating while one of the regular customer came out and have a chat with me and was suprised that I still have the mood to eat. I told her that the fight is non of my business and don't want to kpo it plus I am hungry. Hungry SiLing = Angry SiLing.
So, from a corridor inside, the person who starts the fight came out and didn't want to stop his nonsense. He even intend to hit a women of the same room as him! And Louis drag him away with extreme force into the lift. Wow! He is really so man. Completely idolising him like some freak.
I think supervisor really needs some talent and skills and ability to handle such situation. Luckily Louis dosen't have the look like you know some "kiam pa" people and knows how to handle situation like this, if not he will sure kena.
So, they were still like continuing with some commotions downstair. I was explaining charges to some customers and they seem curious of what is going on and asked me does this happened often. I tell them that I have been working here for two years and nothing this sort happened before.
In my heart, I was being racists. I thought, yeah. Indians is like that.
Then the phone rang. I pick it up and say the extremely long sentence: K Box Broadway SiLing speaking how may I assist you?
Louis: SiLing argh? (He still wait for me to complete the long long sentence)
Me: Call the police huh?
Louis: Ya.. Ok, after considering why he still waits for me to complete the very long sentence and the pauses he made, I think he is thinking and considering what will happen next. He is someone who thinks of many consequences and what will be happening next and what shall he do when he makes a decision. Or he dosen't want to speak incase the Indian guy knows he wants to call "matah" come down.
So I called the friendly neighbourhood police branch and their kind and patient service operator on the line speak so monotonely and boringly like the previous time. I'm dissappointed that my call dosen't seem to excite him by a little.
Me: I'm calling from KBox, broadway plaza, AMK avenue 6, there is a fight going on. Please send some officers down. Thankyou.
Tadah~~~ I am so proud of myself. Short, sweet and straight to the point. Within minutes, the super efficient officers arrived.
Skip on the details. When customers left. ZhiAn told me about the whole story which I dosen't seem to bother at first. The Indian guy (A) want to bash up the other person (also Indian, his relative) as the person speak ill of (A)'s mother. Wow. A good reason to bash up other people. Who will speak ill of my mother also deserve me bashing him/her up. A's mother tell others not to hurt A as he is her son. Wow. Like a TV drama. ZhiAn tell me not to cry. I was like really damn touch and close to tears already.
I think I should give everyone respect, no matter who they are. So what if he is a Indian? He still have people loving him and those people out there he loves. He respect and loves his mother. For this, he deserves my respect... He deserves respect...
And from this I want to thank him for getting me a moral of the lesson: Not to judge people...
